This is where you’ll manage your team.
Every manager has his unique playing style. This will effect your teams potential all through the season. As the quality of a manager increases, his traits will rise as well. As an example: if a manager’s morale trait is 5 stars, this will slow down the teams morale decrease dramatically, your team won’t loose hope from the competition as the season goes by.
This is one of the key features of your team’s success. The more players you use with the correct formation and position, the better your team’s chemistry will be. Players from the same nation will dramatically increase your chemistry.
It is totally up to you to choose which ever formation you want your team to play. It is strictly important that your squad is eligible to play on the formation you desire. You will either have to train your players to play in the selected formation (if the player already does not play there), or you will have to search through the marketplace for the appropriate player.
♦ Tip 4: You might want to change to a different playing style or formation during a match. Therefore be sure to train your squad to be able to play in different formations. By doing so, you will not be loosing from your team chemistry.
This is where you’ll choose your starting eleven and substitudes. On your listed players, you can see a player’s name, fitness & morale levels, whether he is playing on the correct position and the remaining amount of his contracts. Player positions are critically important. Be sure to check out Tip 2 for this information.
You can re-arrange your squad by simply holding and dragging a player from the pitch diagram on the left to the list on the right of your screen. As you do so, you will instantly see the effects of your actions on your team’s chemistry and overall strenght.
You can hold up to 40 players in your club. When you exceed this number, the rest of your players will be stored on your Transfer Market screen under the My Auctions tab. You can always switch a player from this list into your squad.
This is where you can fine tune your teams in-game tactics. How you want your team’s mentality to be, defensive / offensive style of play and your team’s passing logic can be controlled here. Just like in real football matches, the tactics you give your players will have direct effect on their style of play. Playing more offense might get you goals, but it will also tire your squad much faster. Remember: every tactic will have its trade-offs.
You can assign up to 3 players for every set-piece during a match. The primary player will take that specific set-peice. The second and the third one will be that players’ alternates. You will have to examine each and every player in your squad for best free-kick takers and best shooters. You can set up to 3 players to be the captains of your team.
On this tab, you’ll be able to see majority of the cards you’ve collected for your club. (Your complete card collection will be listed in your My Cards in the main game menu.) You’ll have you consumable cards here. During a season, when players suffer from injuries, you can drag the appropriate healing card from the section. You can drag and place the player that are not in your starting line-up or the subs.
